Adjunct instructors will play a pivotal role in preparing and delivering aviation-related courses, guiding students through flight simulator activities, and contributing to student success in an applied learning environment. This position is ideal for experienced pilots and certified flight instructors who have a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of aviators. The adjunct instructor is responsible not only for course preparation and instruction but also for student management and simulator setup, ensuring that learning experiences are immersive and closely aligned with real-world aviation practices. This role demands an individual who is well-versed in aviation protocols, simulator technology, and able to provide personalized guidance to students based on their unique learning needs and progress. The pay structure and employment type are adjunct faculty status, allowing flexibility for those engaged concurrently in professional aviation roles or other academic assignments. The position involves approximately 60 percent focus on teaching and course development, including preparing syllabi, lecture content, assignments, and maintaining transparent student records. Another 20 percent of the role centers on simulator preparation and student instruction within the simulator environment, requiring familiarity with simulator functions and flight checklists. The remaining 20 percent involves student management tasks such as monitoring progress, coordinating with the program director and chief pilot, and addressing any academic or flying challenges.
