The role of Cleaner (also referred to as Floor Technician in some contexts) at ABM is an entry-level position ideal for individuals just entering or re-entering the workforce. This position offers on-the-job training, requiring no prior experience or specific educational qualifications such as a high school diploma or GED. The pay rate for this role is approximately $17.50 per hour, and the typical shift runs from Monday to Friday, 5:00 pm to 1:30 am. The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned areas within facilities, including performing tasks associated with stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, refinishing, sealing, and spot cleaning of floors. Other duties involve cleaning and dusting furniture, fixtures, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment; cleaning glass surfaces and windows; gathering and disposing of trash; servicing restrooms; and performing seasonal outdoor tasks such as sweeping walks, raking leaves, cutting grass, and removing snow. The role requires physical ability, including the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds at least 25% of the time.
