The Senior Event Manager role at the Rose Bowl Stadium is a critical leadership position responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and flawless execution of complex, high-impact events. This position requires proactive coordination with the City of Pasadena, public safety officials, contractors, and internal staff to secure necessary permits, uphold safety standards, and deliver highly coordinated event logistics. Another vital aspect of this role includes leading pre-event briefings and post-event evaluations, sharing actionable insights that foster continuous improvement in event operations. Contract negotiations with vendors and service providers also fall under this manager's responsibilities, ensuring that all parties meet performance expectations and that services delivered align with organizational standards. The Senior Event Manager oversees a team comprising Event Managers, Coordinators, and Assistants, providing strategic direction and fostering a collaborative high-performing team environment. They are responsible for managing event budgets, procurement processes, and maintaining accurate records for financial oversight including invoicing and reporting. Educational requirements include a college degree or equivalent experience, typically supported by five to ten years in sports entertainment or venue event management. A valid Class C driver’s license is required. This position offers a competitive salary range of $85,174 to $132,020 depending on qualifications and experience and may also include bonus and commission incentives.
