The position available is that of an Import/Export Operations Specialist, designed for experienced professionals with 3-5 years of international freight forwarding experience. This role is critical in facilitating seamless logistics operations and supply chain management from origin to delivery across multiple transportation modes including air, sea, rail, and road. The specialist is responsible for handling shipment activities, providing timely status updates to customers, and coordinating with both internal teams and external agents to ensure standards operational procedures (SOP) are adhered to. The role requires selecting optimal shipment routes, reserving transport space, overseeing the documentation processes such as bills of lading and certificates of origin, and consolidating shipments to reduce costs.
In addition to logistical responsibilities, the role demands a deep knowledge of transportation principles, customer service, business administration, safety regulations, and personnel management. Candidates should excel in communication, problem-solving, time management, and critical thinking. The specialist must also be comfortable using advanced technological tools like ERP software, CRM systems, compliance software, and provide expert use of office applications such as Microsoft Excel.
