The Junior Sous Chef role at Aramark offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the culinary team within the Hotel Food and Beverage department. This position assists the Hotel Sous Chefs and the Hotel Head Chef in overseeing the culinary operations and food production, specifically managing the activities within the main hotel kitchen while supporting the a la carte restaurants. The Junior Sous Chef ensures that all recipes, food preparation, and presentation conform strictly to department standards, maintaining Aramark’s high commitment to quality and safety.
This role is essential in maintaining a safe, orderly, and sanitized working kitchen environment that meets local health regulations and company policies such as those from San Diego County and OSHA. The successful candidate will play a key role in operational support, including supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory and food cost, and assisting in menu development. They will also be responsible for coordinating kitchen cleanup, equipment maintenance, and ensuring smooth and efficient daily kitchen operations.
