The Barista reports to several management roles including the District Store Director, Store Manager, and Coffee Shop Department Manager, signifying the cross-functional importance of this role. Daily duties involve engaging with customers, taking orders, working with team members, and managing the preparation and replenishment of coffee shop products. Baristas are responsible for following food safety guidelines, checking product freshness, and ensuring food supplies are adequate. Other functions include handling transactions at the register, maintaining hygiene and dress standards, and adhering to company policies. Secondary responsibilities may extend to washing dishes, ordering supplies, pricing items, and supporting other store areas as needed. The position demands physical capability to perform medium work, including lifting and moving up to 50 pounds and performing various physical activities like standing, reaching, and repetitive motions. Working conditions may involve exposure to noise, cleaning chemicals, temperature fluctuations, and equipment hazards.
