The Color & Curl Concierge (CCC) / Colour & Curl Specialist (CCS) is a pivotal role within our business, serving as both an expert and ambassador of our color and curl product lines. This specialist role emphasizes deep knowledge in hair color, curl, and texture, combining technical expertise with strong social media, business, and sales skills. The CCC/CCS works tirelessly to drive color and curl sales by enhancing customer retention, fostering loyalty, and building lasting relationships that increase brand awareness and market presence. This position requires a strategic thinker who can analyze market trends, educate clients and fellow professionals both in-person and virtually, and address customer concerns with professionalism and effectiveness.
This position is for those passionate about beauty who want to leverage their knowledge to help professional beauty salons, barbers, spas, schools, and licensed cosmetologists thrive. The role demands continuous learning through online courses and guided certifications to stay current with product innovations and industry trends. The CCC/CCS is also responsible for ensuring that merchandising and displays meet brand standards to create an inviting atmosphere for customers. Adept communication with internal teams, customers, and vendors is essential to monitor sales progress and to provide exceptional service.
The role requires flexibility, as the CCC/CCS may occasionally assist multiple store locations or participate in fieldwork, sales meetings, and shows at least three times a year. The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, present a professional image, and maintain high organizational standards is critical. - One year retail or other sales focused experience
- Licensed cosmetologist highly preferred in US and Canada
- Reliable transportation to effectively service designated store and market
- Ability to travel to shows and/or sales meetings a minimum of 3 times a year
- Strong business acumen and ability to read, interpret, and action on pertinent sales reporting
- Working knowledge of retail sales, inventory control systems and visual merchandising is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS applications
- Comprehensive knowledge of computers, iPads, mobile devices and social media platforms
- Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
- May be required to work in other stores and in field at times
- Strong time management and organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with the public
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, at all levels within and outside the organization
- Must pass Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire to remain in position
