The Yard Porter acts as the first point of contact for the customers arriving at the facility, greeting them warmly, answering any questions they may have, and assisting with parking and maneuvering their RVs to proper locations. The role involves various duties such as sweeping and cleaning the parking lot, managing trash disposal, performing light maintenance tasks, and monitoring security measures including surveillance cameras and locking mechanisms. The Yard Porter is also responsible for recording customer arrivals and departures to maintain accurate logs and for promptly reporting any suspicious behavior or incidents to management. Additionally, the Yard Porter may assist with other tasks like marketing efforts or inventory management as assigned by supervisors. Candidates for this position should have a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an outdoor environment subject to all weather conditions. The job requires physical stamina as it involves lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in potentially dusty or dirty surroundings. The schedule is part-time, with shifts taking place on Wednesday and Thursday from 1 PM to 9 PM PST, Friday from 5:30 AM to 1 PM PST, and Sunday from 5:30 AM to 1 PM PST.
