This role is conveniently scheduled from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off, allowing work-life balance during the busy season. As a Yard Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all company equipment — including tractors and trailers — are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations. Your daily responsibilities will involve using a variety of cleaning tools and equipment such as steamers, vacuums, and foggers to maintain both the interior and exterior of fleet vehicles. You will conduct thorough inspections to assess the condition of equipment and document your findings accurately in reports. Supporting inventory audits and keeping detailed track of yard assets — such as trailers, load bars, and straps — will be fundamental to this role. Furthermore, you will be responsible for managing the inventory of cleaning supplies and notifying the team when restocking is necessary. Collaboration is key in this position. You will work closely with the Fleet and Operations teams to coordinate equipment readiness and assist with data entry for tracking and maintaining fleet information.
