The role of Assistant General Manager at Topgolf is a full-time leadership position that plays a critical part in supervising and driving the operations within the venue. This role involves overseeing department managers and their teams to ensure the highest standards of service and safety are maintained. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for coaching and developing staff, fostering associate engagement, and upholding the brand's core values which include Fun, One Team, Excellence, Edgy Spirit, and Caring. This position requires strong leadership to hold team members accountable, manage budgets, forecast sales and expenses accurately, and take decisive actions to maximize profit and enhance revenue.
In addition to operational leadership, the Assistant General Manager engages directly with guests to monitor and enhance their experience, making real-time adjustments as needed. - 15+ years of restaurant, hotel or golf course management experience with at least 1 recent year as an assistant general manager or general manager with a restaurant, hotel, or golf environment
- Multi-unit management experience is desired but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication, time management and organization skills
- Ability to work on a team
- Energy and enthusiasm
- A high level of self-awareness, receptivity to change and integrity
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time
- Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time including maneuvering up and down stairs
