The Front Office Manager at Meeting Street Inn plays a critical leadership role in ensuring that the hotel’s front desk and guest service operations are executed with the highest standards of quality and professionalism. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations and the General Manager, the Front Office Manager oversees the Front Desk team, including Guest Service Agents, Night Auditors, and PBX operators. This position requires a seasoned professional well-versed in front office operations, capable of assisting staff with guest concerns and ensuring outstanding customer service. The Front Office Manager also serves as a Manager on Duty during select shifts, representing the hotel management on-site. The role involves managing staff schedules, organizing training programs, maintaining inventory supplies, enforcing hotel policies, and acting as a liaison between the front office and other departments such as Reservations and Sales. The manager is also responsible for handling guest complaints diplomatically, ensuring safety and security measures are followed, and conducting property walkthroughs twice daily to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and service. This role demands excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to remain calm and decisive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment. The position requires standing for long periods and working flexible schedules that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
