Reporting typically to the Division Quality Manager, this position requires strong collaboration across Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Departments. There may be supervisory responsibilities encompassing plant engineers or Quality and Integrity Department team members. Essential functions include managing resources for inspections, optimizing inspection processes, expanding cross-training, managing First Article Inspection processes, assessing quality performance, preparing reports, conducting training sessions, and participating in failure analysis and corrective actions. The role also emphasizes continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles to refine production processes.
Candidates for this position should have a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a technical or business discipline, along with two or more years of experience in manufacturing or quality operations. Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes, product knowledge, and regulatory standards such as FAA and safety regulations is essential. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, as is experience in team participation and development.
