The role of Event Sales Manager at Live! is pivotal in driving the ongoing success and growth of the district’s diverse event portfolio. This full-time position plays a key role in both sales and event execution, intertwining business development, marketing, and operational functions. The Event Sales Manager is tasked with identifying and courting potential clients, focusing particularly on convention and hotel conferences along with companies that work with Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and independent planners. This position involves crafting tailored proposals, responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and fostering strong networks through active participation in industry events. Beyond sales, the Event Sales Manager also coordinates event logistics, working closely with clients, vendors, and venue operations teams to ensure seamless delivery from contract signing through to event execution. This includes managing relationships with florists, rental companies, security, and parking services, while also overseeing on-site coordination on event days to maintain schedule adherence and client satisfaction. The candidate will also play an integral part in strategic marketing, assisting in the development and deployment of marketing materials and campaigns to boost event visibility and engagement. The ideal candidate will bring at least 2-3 years of sales management experience, preferably within hospitality or a related field, and possess strong leadership and communication skills. Proficiency in marketing strategies, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, is essential, alongside demonstrated project management capabilities. This role demands an outgoing personality, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse teams and client bases. The position requires flexibility to work weekends and late nights, along with daytime office hours, and may necessitate travel to workshops, tradeshows, and conventions. A valid Driver’s License is preferred but not always mandatory.
