The role of Concierge/Front Desk/Security Associate at Village of Meyerland is designed for individuals who are enthusiastic about delivering exceptional customer service while also maintaining a safe environment for residents, guests, and employees. This part-time position offers a pay rate of $14.00 per hour with weekend and holiday shifts primarily during the overnight hours from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Candidates must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays, including holidays. This role places the individual as the first point of contact for anyone entering the community, making professionalism and a welcoming personality crucial for success.
In this multifaceted role, associates greet residents, families, prospective residents, and visitors with politeness and warmth, setting a positive tone for their experience. They are also responsible for monitoring public traffic, answering inquiries, and maintaining the order and cleanliness of common areas. Importantly, these associates support administrative functions such as managing meal ticket sales, assisting the sales and marketing team with inquiries, operating the telephone and paging systems, and coordinating maintenance requests. Their vigilance helps in monitoring emergency calls, fire alarms, and securing the premises against suspicious activities by being an active member of the community's emergency response team.
The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of customer service principles. Proficiency in basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office, is expected, alongside an understanding of HIPAA requirements due to the sensitive nature of the environment. Associates must also maintain a professional appearance and uphold company standards in personal hygiene. Physical demands include the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and occasionally use stairs or ladders.
