The position is for a Bakery/Bagel Associate who plays a crucial role in supporting bakery and bagel operations from preparation and baking to merchandising and the final presentation of bakery products. The role involves interacting directly with customers, ensuring a friendly, helpful, and efficient service by greeting customers with a smile, making eye contact, and thanking them when fulfilling their requests. Maintaining a neat and organized workstation according to 5S standards is essential, along with operating bakery equipment such as ovens, mixers, and utensils safely and effectively. The Associate also assists or creates special orders based on customer requests, contributing to a personalized shopping experience. The role demands strict adherence to corporate and state sanitation regulations to ensure cleanliness and safety in the work environment. Familiarity with safety standards and protocols is mandatory to uphold the company's commitment to a safe workplace. Additionally, the Associate is responsible for minimizing product shrinkage through compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory control.
