The Assistant General Manager position at Urban Air Waterbury plays a critical leadership role in maintaining and advancing these company goals. This full-time position focuses on motivating the team, instilling accountability, and driving business success by overseeing the day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. The Assistant General Manager ensures staff performance aligns with Urban Air’s high standards, providing exceptional customer service while creating a positive and productive work environment. This role requires dynamic leadership to cultivate team spirit, develop staff members, and uphold operational excellence. Responsibilities include hiring and retaining staff, coaching, developing training programs, scheduling, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards across all aspects of the park’s operations. The position demands adaptability, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, as well as a passion for motivating others and maintaining the company culture known as Activating Awesome. The Assistant General Manager is also entrusted with enforcing employee recognition programs to boost morale and productivity. Moreover, the role demands hands-on management skills to oversee all operational components including entertainment, food and beverage services, attractions maintenance, and property inspections.   • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in hospitality or related industry
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as required
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and move about the facility
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
