The available Flight Nurse position in Las Cruces offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for experienced critical care nurses seeking to advance their careers in aeromedical transport. This full-time role involves providing high-quality critical care nursing during patient transport via helicopter, operating on a schedule of two 24-hour shifts per week. As a Flight Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, triaging, and treating critically ill or injured patients, ensuring their safe and timely transportation to appropriate medical facilities. You will deliver patient care compliant with policies established by the Air Methods CBS Medical Director(s) while functioning effectively as a valuable member of the clinical flight crew. Beyond clinical responsibilities, this role includes mission preparation, safety compliance, managing medical equipment and supplies, and maintaining meticulous patient documentation throughout transport. Ideal candidates will have at least three years of recent critical care or emergency nursing experience within the last five years, including ICU, ER, Flight, or Critical Care Transport settings, demonstrating advanced clinical skills and an ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.   • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum three years recent critical care emergency nursing experience within last five years
  • Current RN license for practicing states
  • EMS or MICN certification required by state regulations
  • Current certifications in BLS CPR ACLS PALS or equivalent and advanced trauma provider courses
  • Specialty certification CFRN or CEN within 24 months of hire
  • Ability to maintain weight not exceeding 225 pounds including flight suit and boots
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including overtime and on-call
  • Dependable and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
