It offers a starting wage of $20.00 per hour, with scheduled wage increases based on tenure, reaching up to $22.00 per hour by the fifth year. The position involves working closely with a team to either operate registers as a Cashier or manage inventory and stocking duties as a Stocker. Both roles play a crucial part in ensuring that stores remain inviting, efficient, and customer-focused. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing customer purchases efficiently while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and stock organization. Exceptional customer service skills are essential, as you will assist customers with their shopping needs and provide important feedback on product availability and operational issues to management. Cashiers also engage in store inventory counts and strictly adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses. As a Stocker, you will be involved in stocking shelves, rotating products to maintain freshness, and creating attractive merchandise displays according to merchandising plans. Safety is a priority, and you will operate various machinery such as electric/manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers in accordance with safety procedures. Morning availability is required for Stockers since some shifts start as early as 5:00 a.m., to accommodate store operational needs. Physical demands of this job include standing, bending, lifting, carrying weights up to 45 pounds, and walking throughout the store.
