As an Events Manager at Hearst Austin Media, based in San Antonio or Austin with a hybrid work environment, you will play a critical role in orchestrating a range of flagship events that connect communities and elevate the storytelling for which Hearst is known. This role demands a strategic leader capable of managing every detail, from budgeting and logistics to collaboration with sales, marketing, editorial teams, and sponsors. You will be the driving force behind beloved regional events such as Salute to Nurses, Top Workplaces, High School Sports Awards, and Best of Austin, ensuring each event meets revenue goals and leaves a positive and lasting impression on attendees. 
With over three years of experience in event planning and execution, particularly within media, community, or brand event contexts, you will bring strong project management, communication, and vendor negotiation skills to the table. Budget management and profit and loss ownership are core aspects of this position. The role requires the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously across two cities with great attention to detail and a composed, problem-solving mindset even under pressure. Your passion for creating engaging, seamless, and unforgettable experiences will be vital in delivering high-quality live events that foster community engagement and reinforce Hearst Austin Media's brand presence.
