This local transport driver position based in Louisville, Kentucky, offers an exciting career opportunity with competitive pay, including total compensation up to $126,000 and hourly rates ranging from $31.45 to $33.22. This full-time, regular employment entails working predominantly on local routes with a focus on safety, reliable delivery, and environmental stewardship. The role involves the responsible transportation of petroleum products from various loading points to customers while adhering to strict policies, procedures, and regulations set forth by both the company and regulatory authorities.
As a local transport driver with MPC, you will perform essential duties such as pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Marathon Petroleum policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. You will operate tank trucks or tractor-trailers safely and efficiently, obeying all federal, state, and local laws while following MPC’s site-specific procedures for loading and unloading. Attention to detail is critical, including logging inspection results, managing paperwork accurately, and communicating any safety or equipment issues promptly.
