We are currently seeking a uniquely qualified hospitality leader for the role of General Manager. This leadership position demands a professional who is passionate about serving others, demonstrating excellent communication skills, and thriving in dynamic environments. The General Manager will oversee daily hotel operations with a strategic focus on delivering exceptional guest services and maintaining financial profitability. Responsibilities include managing multiple departments such as rooms, housekeeping, food and beverage, and engineering to ensure operational efficiency and departmental profitability. The role also requires developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, participating actively in sales meetings, and maintaining strong community and government relations. As a key figure in the hotel, the General Manager will be tasked with creating and managing the annual budget, monitoring performance through balanced scorecards, and ensuring the hotel meets both brand standards and regulatory requirements. The role is highly interactive, requiring constant visibility and availability to guests, proactive resolution of issues, and a hands-on leadership style focused on workforce motivation and development. This leader will conduct regular team meetings and trainings, handle performance appraisals, and maintain confidential human resource records. They will also be responsible for managing safety programs to reduce accidents and worker's compensation claims and be actively involved in guest satisfaction initiatives. The ideal candidate brings at least 3-5 years of General Manager experience within hospitality, along with an educational background preferably at the college level. They must possess a strong understanding of hotel management best practices, solid decision-making skills, and proven sales experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure are vital. Additionally, a valid driver's license and the ability to travel to meet clients are required.
