The role of Event Coordinator at the Michaels store located in Woodlands, TX, is a dynamic and multifaceted position designed to enhance customer experiences through expertly planned and executed events. This position revolves around planning, coordinating, and facilitating various events, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes, aiming to provide a stress-free, fun, and highly engaging environment for guests of all ages. The Event Coordinator will proactively interact with clients and guests ranging from young children to seniors, ensuring each event is memorable and lives up to Michaels’ high standards for creativity and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include demonstrating and instructing participants in craft project completion, organizing event add-ons such as goody bags and balloons, as well as handling all necessary administrative tasks like answering emails, making phone calls, and adjusting events based on client feedback. Beyond event management, the role also involves supporting the overall customer shopping experience at the store. Providing friendly, knowledgeable service to assist customers in locating products, educating them on benefits such as the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and facilitating processes like Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS) are all critical components of this job. The Event Coordinator participates in store operations including truck unload, merchandise stocking, planogram execution, and store recovery tasks to maintain the brand’s cleanliness, safety, and operational standards.
