As a Sales Associate at DFS, you will be the brand ambassador and the face of the company on the sales floor, playing a critical role in bridging the gap between DFS’s fine products and its customers. This position is integral to building customer loyalty and developing meaningful relationships while striving to meet and exceed sales and productivity targets. Your key responsibility will be to deliver the best customer experience by assisting clients in selecting, purchasing, and returning merchandise with professionalism and a positive attitude. You will complete transactions accurately and promptly, and skillfully tailor product recommendations based on understanding customer temperaments and style preferences. A major part of your role includes responding politely and effectively to customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring satisfaction and directing issues to management when appropriate. During peak hours, collaboration with fellow sales staff to promptly attend to customers is vital to minimizing wait times and enhancing overall service quality. Beyond customer interaction, the Sales Associate is responsible for maintaining floor and product presentation standards in line with brand and DFS requirements. This role involves managing stock levels and maintaining a thorough knowledge of the store layout to effectively guide customers toward merchandise, services, and facilities. You will support the management team by coordinating merchandising activities, inventory management, promotional efforts, and ensuring smooth merchandise stock flow. The position demands high energy, adaptability, and proficiency with POS register machines. Working at DFS requires flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays with potential overtime. This role offers competitive pay, ranging from $13.65 to $20.45 per hour, reflecting experience and performance. The ideal candidate will have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of one year’s retail sales or cashiering experience.
