The Team Sous Chef position at the Footprint Center is an integral role within this culinary division, offering an exciting opportunity for experienced culinary professionals. The role specifically supports the preparation of meals for the team and coaching staff during the NBA season, focusing on home games, ensuring that athletes receive tailored nutrition adherent to dietary and sports nutrition needs. It requires the ability to work extended shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the demanding schedule of sports events.
As the Team Sous Chef, you will work under the direct supervision of the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef, assisting in the full spectrum of meal preparation duties. The role involves preparing ingredients from scratch, following precise recipes, and managing timely execution of menus to align with the game and practice schedules. Maintaining an impeccable kitchen hygiene standard is a priority, with responsibilities to ensure equipment and work areas meet grade A cleanliness standards. The Sous Chef will also utilize FIFO (first in, first out) protocols for food storage to comply with strict food safety guidelines. This position offers an opportunity to contribute creatively by assisting in the development and execution of new recipes that align with current food trends and the team’s nutritional requirements.
