The Cashier role at TravelCenters of America represents a critical position within the store team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to ensure every traveler returns to the road better than when they arrived. This position involves working in a fun and trusting environment where the focus is on excellent customer engagement, efficient transaction processing at the point-of-sale (POS) register, and maintaining well-stocked and tidy merchandise and food and beverage areas. Ideal candidates for this role will have strong verbal communication skills, basic POS or computer knowledge, and a genuine enthusiasm for serving customers courteously and efficiently. The role requires individuals who thrive in a dynamic setting with flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The hourly pay range for this position is $14.00 to $15.00, with compensation commensurate with experience and responsibilities. • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
