The Steward/Dishwasher role at Andaz Miami Beach is critical to maintaining the hotel's acclaimed high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This full-time, fast-paced position is part of the hotel’s opening team and involves constant interaction with colleagues and other departments, supporting the smooth operation of food and beverage areas. The steward is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of hotel china, silverware, cookware, and general kitchen areas. The individual must be physically capable of lifting, pulling, and pushing moderate weights and should have good communication skills. This role plays a key part in upholding hygiene standards and ensuring that kitchen operations comply with company and health regulations. As a Steward, the individual will operate dishwashing equipment, maintain sanitary conditions throughout kitchen and dining areas, dispose of waste in accordance with hotel and city regulations, and support inventory management by monitoring chemical levels and reporting breakages. The candidate will also assist with sweeping, mopping, and polishing various hotel facilities as needed, contributing to the overall guest experience through cleanliness and orderliness. Flexibility is required to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, and the role offers valuable experience within a luxury hotel setting that emphasizes service, quality, and teamwork. • High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in housekeeping or dishwashing preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Physical capability to lift, push, or pull moderate weights up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work standing for extended periods
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
