As part of Lowe's commitment to operational excellence and regulatory adherence, the company is seeking a highly skilled Customs Compliance Analyst. This role is integral to maintaining and enhancing the company's compliance with U.S. and Canadian customs laws, specifically those outlined in Title 19 of the Code of Federal Regulations (19 CFR) and the Canadian Customs Act. The Customs Compliance Analyst will manage the corporate compliance audit program, ensuring all import and export activities meet stringent federal guidelines and internal policies. The position is responsible for verifying the effectiveness of customs compliance processes through comprehensive testing and analysis, interpreting complex regulatory requirements, and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
The Analyst will engage directly with regulatory authorities, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), to support audit activities and ensure Lowe's adheres to all applicable customs regulations. Responsibilities include analyzing manufacturing processes to determine country of origin for imported goods, reviewing product eligibility for antidumping and countervailing duties, and determining qualification for preferential duty treatment. This role acts as a subject matter expert by communicating compliance determinations and updates, monitoring governmental publications such as the Federal Register for relevant notifications, and proactively identifying risks associated with customs compliance.
This position offers an annual salary range of $72,400 to $120,900, with the starting pay rate contingent upon individual qualifications, location, education, and experience.
