This full-time position, located at the Valley Center Tower in Murray, Utah, requires a dedicated individual to receive, process, and transmit vital communications for patient transport using radios, telephones, and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software. The specialist works under regulations set by the Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Communications Commission, Commission Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems, and state and local EMS agencies to ensure safe, efficient, and timely patient transport. The Communications Specialist serves as a crucial liaison connecting hospitals, EMS agencies, and public safety to facilitate patient transfer to definitive care. Experience in a hospital environment and prior dispatching experience with EMS agencies, 911 public safety, or health unit coordination enhances the candidate's ability to excel. Preferred qualifications include clinical experience such as medical assistant or EMT, the ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously, and prior exposure to rules and standards established by FAA, FCC, and CAMTS in a medical transport communications environment.
