The Assistant Manager role at Bear plays a pivotal part in supporting the General Manager (GM) and Assistant General Manager (AGM) in ensuring smooth restaurant operations. This full-time onsite position is designed for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in hospitality and restaurant management. The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the hiring, training, and supervision of hourly staff, ensuring that both customer service and sales goals are met consistently. This includes leading pre-shift meetings, preparing detailed end-of-shift reports, managing cash handling procedures, and optimizing labor schedules to align with sales targets during peak and off-peak hours.
Furthermore, the Assistant Manager plays an essential role in profitability management by enforcing cash control, security protocols, inventory accuracy, and labor cost optimization, making corrective actions as necessary to maintain financial health. The position also involves collaborating with the event team to execute special events, ensuring that Bear's brand and service quality remain exemplary. Compliance with all applicable Department of Labor regulations, local health and safety codes, and company standards is a critical aspect of this position.
