Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, SAIC generates annual revenues around $7.5 billion and promotes a culture of equal opportunity and inclusion. The current opportunity is for an experienced ATCT (Tower) Air Traffic Control Instructor to join the SAIC Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team at the FAA Regional Office in College Park, Georgia. This position supports air traffic controller training services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), an agency dedicated to ensuring that air traffic control specialists provide the highest level of safety and professionalism to the flying public. Particularly, this role involves delivering training and recurrent education to both new and current air traffic control specialists. The FAA leverages contractor-provided instructional services across its Academy and multiple ATC facilities throughout the United States and its territories to meet its comprehensive training needs. The scope of work includes delivering all training and program support required to successfully prepare students for full certification as air traffic controllers at various ATC facility levels. The CTS Instructor-II position is a hands-on role that demands consistent delivery of top-quality training to a broad range of developmental air traffic control students. Candidates must be proficient with current ATC automation, simulation systems, and procedures, as well as be qualified to obtain ATCT (TSS) simulation laboratory certification. This instructor position is ideal for individuals with FAA CPC or equivalent military air traffic control experience and familiarity with advanced simulation platforms such as TSS, AT Coach, and SGET. This role is especially inviting to former military air traffic controllers looking to apply their operational experience in a civilian instructional capacity. It is also significant to note that earnings from this position are exempt from Supplemental Annuity earnings limits for FERS retirees between ages 56 and 62, making it a compelling career choice for retired federal employees.
