The Sous Chef position at Las Vegas Ballpark is a pivotal leadership role within Levy's culinary team, with a salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 and employment graded at pay grade 11. This role demands an experienced culinary professional passionate about food and hospitality, dedicated to driving exceptional food quality and guest service. The Sous Chef will provide direction and coaching to culinary team members, ensuring high standards of culinary excellence and operational efficiency at the location.
Responsibilities include proactively motivating and coaching team members, monitoring quality and sanitation standards, driving continuous improvement in operations, managing financial goals and budgets, and setting standards for culinary performance. The role also involves overseeing kitchen equipment maintenance, managing inventory, food waste control, and ensuring adherence to Levy's sanitation and safety protocols. Leadership on game days, delivery of pre-shift meetings, management of employee breaks, onboarding new team members, and contributing to menu development and recipe maintenance are also key components.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in a culinary leadership role, preferably holds a culinary degree, and has a strong grasp of financial concepts and high computer literacy. Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for hospitality and food service are essential for success in this position.
