The role available is for a Sous Chef at the Chemin A La Mer Restaurant within the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans. This full-time position is ideal for a culinary professional passionate about delivering superior quality food and impeccable service in a luxury environment. As the Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in planning, organizing, controlling, and directing the kitchen’s daily operations to ensure consistent food preparation and presentation standards are met. You will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and other team members to maintain high standards of sanitation, food quality, and operational efficiency.
The Sous Chef position requires a strong leader who can effectively manage labor and operating expenses through strategic scheduling and purchasing while ensuring the kitchen maintains compliance with Four Seasons standards as well as local, state, and federal health regulations. You will monitor food shipments, control portion sizes, and foster an awareness among kitchen staff about the importance of quality and consistency. Communication and coordination between departments are key components of this role to ensure seamless operation and exceptional guest satisfaction.

- College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or culinary arts, or equivalent experience
- Three to five years previous experience in a culinary/food and beverage line position
- One to two years in a supervisory or assistant manager position
- Must have legal documentation to work in the United States

- Strong communication and organizational skills
