Currently, Sonesta is hiring for the position of Room Attendant, a vital role within the Housekeeping Department responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order across guest rooms, public spaces, and laundry operations. The Room Attendant at Sonesta primarily works with the Housekeeping Management Team to ensure all assigned guest rooms and public area spaces meet the brand’s time, product, and placement standards. This role supports the guest experience by delivering thorough room cleaning, which includes making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and maintaining kitchen areas and appliances when applicable. The position also involves monitoring and operating laundry equipment, handling linens carefully, and maintaining safety and hygiene standards throughout the facilities. Flexibility in working various shifts such as mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required to meet the operational needs of the hotel. The Room Attendant role is an hourly position with a pay range of $19.00 to $19.50 per hour, dependent on relevant skills and experience. Additionally, the Room Attendant represents the frontline of Sonesta’s acclaimed guest service philosophy, known as the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards, which emphasize quality, attentiveness, and responsiveness to guest requests. The role demands physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting up to 75 pounds, and using commercial cleaning chemicals safely and effectively. Previous housekeeping or extended stay experience is preferred, as is basic proficiency in English communication skills to ensure effective interaction with guests and team members. This position plays a crucial part in upholding the cleanliness and safety standards that directly impact guest satisfaction and brand reputation.
