We are currently seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and charismatic Sommelier to join our team. This position is hourly paid within a range of $23 to $25 per hour and offers a comprehensive benefits package for qualifying employees. The Sommelier will play a pivotal role in curating the wine experience for our guests by managing the wine menu, collaborating directly with winemakers and culinary teams to refine selections, and recommending thoughtful pairings. This role requires not only a deep understanding of wine, particularly old world varieties, but also a warm and engaging approach that enhances guest interaction and satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and regularly updating our wine lists with input from chefs and managers, making sophisticated food and wine pairing recommendations, and ensuring the wine cellar is well-stocked and meticulously managed. In addition to inventory responsibilities, the Sommelier will educate team members about the wine program, organize wine tasting events, and maintain strict compliance with all health and safety regulations. This role demands exceptional interpersonal skills as it involves daily interactions with guests, providing knowledgeable and personalized wine suggestions to enhance their dining experience.
