About SkyWest Airlines: SkyWest Airlines is the largest regional airline in North America, with a massive, diversified fleet of CRJ and Embraer aircraft. We are the essential partners for 'United Express', 'Delta Connection', 'American Eagle', and 'Alaska SkyWest', operating more flights and connecting more cities than any other regional carrier. Our reputation is built on reliability, safety, and a 'people-first' culture. We are seeking positive, reliable, and professional individuals to join our team as 'Entry Level' Flight Attendants. 'No experience' is required. Our industry-leading, paid training program will prepare you to be an FAA-certified safety professional, representing the world's largest airlines. This is a career with unmatched stability, opportunity, and a supportive team environment. Your New Career – The Role: As a SkyWest Flight Attendant, you are the face of our airline and our mainline partners. Your primary responsibility is ensuring the 'safety and security' of every passenger, on every flight. This role is a blend of safety expert, first responder, and customer service professional. You will be responsible for pre-flight safety checks, passenger boarding, in-flight service, and managing any situation that may arise, from a simple service request to a complex medical or security emergency. This is a '24/7 operation' that requires a high degree of flexibility. You must be available to work a variable schedule, including 'day shift', 'night shift', 'weekend shift' rotations, holidays, and 'on-call' (reserve) periods. Your professionalism and 'calm-under-pressure' demeanor are key to our success. The Training – Your Foundation for Success: Your career begins with our intensive, paid training program, held at our state-of-the-art training center in Salt Lake City, UT. This program is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to be a confident and certified Flight Attendant, even with 'no experience'. * 'Aircraft & Safety:' You will become proficient on our diverse fleet (CRJ-200, CRJ-700, CRJ-900, E-175), learning all safety equipment, aircraft systems, and emergency procedures. * 'Hands-On Drills:' You will train in advanced cabin and door trainers, practicing 'real-world' emergency evacuations, fire-fighting, and water landings (ditching). * 'Medical Response:' You will be certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED use, preparing you to handle any in-flight medical event. * 'Multi-Partner Service:' A unique aspect of SkyWest is learning the distinct service standards for 'all four' of our mainline partners: Delta, United, American, and Alaska. You will learn to deliver the specific First Class and Main Cabin services for each brand. * 'Passenger Care:' You will learn 'conflict resolution' techniques, how to assist passengers with disabilities, and how to manage a wide range of customer needs with empathy and professionalism. Graduation from this program is a significant achievement that earns you your FAA Certificate of Demonstrated Proficiency. A Day in the Life – What to Expect: No two days are the same. Your 'workday' will be fast-paced and varied. * 'Pre-Flight:' You'll report to your assigned crew base (e.g., DEN, LAX, ORD, SEA) for your trip. You'll meet your crew for a pre-flight briefing, discussing flight plans, weather, and passenger information. Onboard, you'll conduct rigorous 'pre-flight checks' of all safety equipment. * 'Boarding:' You'll welcome passengers, make professional announcements, and assist with carry-on baggage. You'll ensure the cabin is secure for takeoff, checking seatbelts and galley equipment. * 'In-Flight:' You will be the primary safety professional, monitoring the cabin for any irregularities. You will then perform the designated 'in-flight service' for the partner airline you are flying on that day, which may include a 'First Class' service. You'll respond to call lights and ensure passenger comfort and compliance with all FAA regulations. * 'Post-Flight:' After landing, you'll manage a safe deplaning. You'll conduct a cabin sweep and security check. Your day may consist of several flights ('legs') and may end in a 'layover' city, where you'll check into a company-paid hotel with your crew to rest for the next day's duties. The Lifestyle – Schedule & Flexibility: This is not a traditional 9-to-5. As a new 'entry-level' Flight Attendant, you will start on 'reserve'. This 'on-call' schedule requires you to be based in your assigned city, available to be called for a trip with short notice (typically a '2-hour' call-out). Your schedule will include 'day shift', 'night shift', 'weekend shift', and holiday assignments. This lifestyle demands flexibility but rewards you with 'unmatched travel opportunities' and many days off per month to enjoy them. Why SkyWest? SkyWest is the 'largest and most stable' regional airline, offering unparalleled opportunities. We have over a dozen crew bases across the country. We offer competitive pay, a 'sign-on bonus', and a comprehensive benefits package. Our travel privileges are the 'best in the industry', giving you access to the global networks of all four of our mainline partners. We have a 'people-first' culture and provide clear 'career advancement' opportunities within Inflight, Training, or other corporate departments.
