The Steward is also tasked with assisting kitchen staff in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including storage areas and equipment. This full-time position demands a proactive individual who can work efficiently under pressure while maintaining composure and professionalism. The Steward is responsible not only for operating dish-washing equipment to clean utensils and tableware thoroughly but also for the careful and safe storage of these items to minimize breakage. Additionally, the role involves cleaning pots, pans, and other kitchen tools following strict hygiene protocols, as well as sweeping and mopping kitchen and restaurant floors to maintain a spotless environment. The Steward supports the overall kitchen operation by ensuring proper food storage and rotation, contributing to food safety and inventory management.
