The company is currently hiring Servers for the 2026 cruising season, offering a temporary, 28-week employment opportunity aboard its fleet. The Server position involves various responsibilities such as setting up and breaking down dining areas for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hours; providing attentive and knowledgeable service by acknowledging guests, presenting menus, making thoughtful course and wine recommendations, and ensuring all orders are accurately relayed and impeccably served. Beyond routine duties, Servers may also greet guests as they embark, serve afternoon teas and snacks, and support evening entertainment events. Wages range between $1,000 and $1,400 per week with additional bonuses, and because all major living expenses including travel, room and board, uniforms, and training are covered by the company, this role offers a remarkable opportunity to save earnings while gaining valuable experience.
Working aboard a cruise ship requires dedication, stamina, and a positive attitude as you will be expected to work up to 12 hours per day, seven days a week, in a fast-paced, physical environment. Safety is paramount at American Cruise Lines, and employees undergo training to perform emergency and safety functions integral to ship operations.
