The Server position at Five Star Senior Living is a vital role within the Culinary Team, responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to residents through courteous and efficient service. The server acts as the direct link between the kitchen and the residents, ensuring that meal orders are taken accurately and served on time while being mindful of individual dietary needs, food allergies, and preferences. In addition to serving meals, the Server will maintain cleanliness and organization in dining and food service areas, including residents’ rooms when necessary. A good understanding of the menu, including preparation methods, ingredients, and presentation, is essential to assist residents with any questions or special requests. Servers use technology such as Point of Sale systems to communicate efficiently with kitchen staff and guarantee a smooth dining service. • Must be a minimum of sixteen years of age
• Must possess at least a 10th grade education or equivalent work experience
• At least 1 year of experience as a server or in a similar food service environment
• Working knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures
• Freedom from illegal use of drugs
• Freedom from use and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
• No history of abuse neglect or mistreatment of individuals in a health care related setting
• Demonstrates effective time management skills
