We are currently hiring Servers for the 2026 cruising season to join our shipboard hotel and restaurant teams. This is a temporary 28-week position offering a unique chance to work onboard one of our elegant vessels. As a Server, you will play a vital role in delivering an outstanding dining experience to our guests, ensuring that every meal is elegant, efficient, and memorable. The hourly commitment is substantial, requiring the ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, seven days a week throughout the season. Wages range from $1,000 to $1,400 per week, with additional bonuses, making this an exceptional opportunity to save money since all major living expenses such as room, board, uniforms, paid training, and travel to and from the vessel are covered by the company. In this position, you will be responsible for setting up and breaking down dining areas for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour, ensuring that tables are impeccably arranged with linens, silverware, china, and glassware. You will cater to all culinary requests promptly and professionally, interact with guests by escorting them to tables, presenting menus, recommending courses and wines, and responding to any inquiries they may have about menu items. Additionally, you will efficiently communicate orders to the galley and serve various courses and beverages with great care to presentation and garnish. Beyond routine duties, Servers may also be called upon to greet guests during embarkation, serve afternoon teas and snacks, and assist with evening entertainment functions. Joining American Cruise Lines as a Server not only offers an introduction to the hospitality and cruise industry but also provides a platform for career advancement within a respected company. The seasonal nature of this employment allows you to experience travel across more than 50 itineraries spanning over 35 states, creating unique memories and connections with colleagues and guests from diverse backgrounds. Working at American Cruise Lines means embracing a culture where safety, professionalism, and guest satisfaction are paramount, along with maintaining grooming standards and adhering to policies such as pre-employment drug testing.
