This position is integral to the front-of-house team and reports directly to the Assistant General Manager. The Server’s primary responsibility is to create memorable dining experiences through attentive, knowledgeable, and personalized service. This includes delivering exceptional guest experiences both in the dining area and within the kitchen equipment showroom and culinary wares department. The role is ideal for those who thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and have a genuine interest in culinary arts and wines. Servers are expected to be proactive learners, becoming well-versed in Hestan Napa’s extensive product lines and service standards. They act as effective salespeople for food, beverages, culinary wares, and kitchen equipment, engaging guests with detailed product knowledge and helpful recommendations. Servers at Hestan Napa will familiarize themselves with menu items, preparation methods, ingredients, beverage offerings, and wine service protocols. They manage the pacing of each guest's dining experience to ensure timely and attentive service, uphold all food and beverage service laws and certification requirements, and participate in ongoing training sessions including wine seminars and product education. The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $16.50 plus tips and commissions. • High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in English including speaking, reading, and writing
• Basic math skills
• Ability to stand for up to 6 hours
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a high-quality dinner house environment
• Complete the A. B. C. Responsible Beverage Service Certification
• Obtain a California Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire
• Adhere strictly to A. B. C. liquor laws
• Attend scheduled training and meetings
• Follow all guidelines outlined in the Hestan Napa Standards of Service Manual
