The Front Server role at Rustic Root is integral to maintaining the welcoming and high-quality dining experience the restaurant is known for. As a full-time, hourly position paying $17.25 plus tips, the server must possess patience, a vibrant personality, and perseverance to succeed. The responsibilities of the Front Server go beyond taking orders and delivering food. The position requires excellence in customer service, multitasking various front-of-house duties, and ensuring effective communication with the kitchen staff for accuracy and promptness in orders. Front Servers are tasked with greeting guests warmly, providing detailed menu information including ingredients and allergy concerns, handling payments efficiently, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area. Servers at Rustic Root must thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent time management and critical thinking skills to solve problems quickly. • Must have minimum 1-2 years serving experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant or equivalent education and experience
• Must provide San Diego County Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment
• Must complete anti-harassment and nondiscrimination 1-hour training
• Must complete RBS Responsible Alcohol Service training upon conclusion of training
• Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for up to 8 hours
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly
• Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, push, and pull
• Must be able to work holidays, nights, weekends
• Must be motivated, hard-working, passionate, able to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities
