The role of Senior Terminal Planner based in Chicago offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead terminal projects at some of the busiest and most dynamic airports across the United States. This position focuses on shaping terminal expansion, managing master plans, and delivering comprehensive program implementations that improve airport operations and passenger experiences. You will be entrusted with spearheading planning studies and assessments for commercial terminal expansions and airport landside master plans, scoping projects that often span terminal, airfield, apron, and landside planning. An essential part of this role involves analyzing data to assess demand and capacity, benchmarking industry standards, and applying advanced modeling and simulation tools to forecast outcomes effectively. As a Senior Terminal Planner, you will prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and client deliverables that communicate complex information clearly and persuasively. Your leadership will extend to guiding project meetings, supporting business development efforts, and engaging with industry stakeholders to ensure that project goals align with broader aviation strategies. • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, planning, urban planning, aviation, or related field
• 5-7+ years of experience in airport planning with a focus on terminal planning
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Microsoft Office
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to analyze data and apply modeling/simulation tools
• Experience managing commercial terminal planning projects
• Familiarity with U.S. and international airport planning standards and regulations
