The company is recognized for its expertise in instrument flight procedure (IFP) design, airspace analysis, and the use of cutting-edge software tools that enhance aviation safety and efficiency. As an Air Traffic Control Specialist at Tetra Tech AMT, you will play a critical role in supporting the FAA's mission to maintain safe and efficient national airspace. This full-time position demands a seasoned professional with a minimum of 15 years of experience as a Certified Professional Controller (CPC) and practical knowledge of air traffic control procedures and airspace design. The specialist will be engaged in the technical aspects of instrument flight procedure design, providing expert advice on airspace optimization, and ensuring compliance with FAA criteria. Your responsibilities include operating the Terminal Area Route Generation Evaluation Traffic Simulation (TARGETS) software, a vital tool for evaluating and simulating terminal area routes, and retrieving and analyzing flight procedure and air traffic data from various systems to support the development and revision of IFPs. You will also be responsible for reviewing FAA orders and directives related to IFP design, coordinating with stakeholders, and producing presentations and briefing materials that communicate complex technical information effectively. This role requires a professional who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with graphics specialists and FAA managers to deliver high-quality outputs. With travel requirements up to 30 percent depending on FAA needs, the position offers a dynamic work environment that involves engaging with various teams and contributing to the continuous improvement of aviation procedures and software applications. The specialist is also expected to participate in user evaluation teams to support enhancements to IFP-related technologies and tools.
