The role of Security Supervisor at Great Wolf Lodge is a critical position within the security department responsible for overseeing daily security operations and maintaining safety standards throughout the property. This role supports the Security Manager by executing supervisory duties, training new security team members, and monitoring and enforcing safety protocols. The Security Supervisor performs protective functions with professionalism and composure while managing emergencies, disturbances, and threats. The position demands a high level of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to promote a safe environment for guests, visitors, and employees. As a Security Supervisor, you will assist with paperwork review, including daily activity reports, incident documentation, and timecard management, ensuring smooth department operations. You will conduct regular inspections of security equipment to guarantee it is functional and report or repair issues promptly. Patrol duties cover both interior and exterior areas, where you will identify potential risks and take decisive actions to mitigate them. In emergency situations such as fires or safety hazards, you will coordinate prompt and effective responses while maintaining order and ensuring guest welfare. In addition to operational oversight, the Security Supervisor will monitor security footage, investigate incidents, and follow up on investigations to completion. The role includes administering first aid and CPR when necessary, fostering a secure and positive guest experience. Supervisory responsibilities extend to managing department staffing levels, recommending disciplinary measures, and maintaining security protocols like key issuance systems. Great Wolf Lodge requires this position to be flexible regarding shift timings, including weekends and holidays, reflecting the nature of hospitality operations. The salary for this role is $25.75 per hour, and compensation factors include education, experience, performance, and other organizational considerations. • High school diploma
• Prior security, law enforcement or military experience
• Minimum one year supervisory experience
• At least one year in hospitality or tourism field
• Ability to work any shift including weekends and holidays
• Must be at least 18 years old, 21 to operate company vehicles
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, climbing stairs
• Proficiency in computer programs such as Outlook and MS Office
• Ability to administer CPR and First Aid
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and professionally
