This leadership role is a critical position within The Ritz-Carlton Bacara Santa Barbara, focused on strategic property operations management. The position functions as the business leader overseeing all aspects of daily operations, including key departments such as Front Office, Retail and Gift Shops, Recreation and Fitness Center, Housekeeping, Security and Loss Prevention, Engineering and Maintenance, Food and Beverage including Culinary and Event Management. The role demands close collaboration with executive team members and department heads to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with brand standards and service excellence initiatives. Ensuring that operations meet the needs of target customers while driving revenue growth, maximizing financial performance, and maintaining high employee satisfaction is central to this job.
As part of the Executive Committee, this leader plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing property-wide strategies to deliver exceptional products and services. The individual acts as General Manager in their absence, making key decisions that keep the property moving forward toward its business goals. They use financial reports and operational metrics to monitor performance against budgets and targets, manage departmental profit margins without compromising quality, and direct capital expenditures toward strategic priorities. Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and coaching the operations team on managing occupancy, wages, and expenses further ensures business success.
The salary range for this full-time management position is $196,000 to $257,000 annually. - 2-year degree from an accredited university in business administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
- 8 years’ experience in management operations, sales and marketing, or related professional area
- OR 4-year bachelor’s degree in business administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
