The successful candidate will provide direction, training, and education to operations and quality assurance personnel regarding sanitation practices and food safety standards based on company policies and applicable regulations. This role is designed for an individual who possesses advanced technical knowledge and experience in wet and dry cleaning, sanitization, pest management, environmental monitoring, and sanitation systems assessments. The position involves active participation in the development and validation of corporate-level sanitation standards and procedures, including Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS). Key responsibilities include conducting gap assessments and sanitation audits across manufacturing operations to identify deficiencies and drive corrective actions, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and assisting in the management of third-party service providers and operations partnerships to ensure consistent sanitation program effectiveness. The position requires close collaboration with site leadership and operational teams to ensure compliance with food regulations, company programs, and customer requirements, reinforcing the application of food safety preventive controls, proper hygiene, microbial and allergen monitoring, zoning, and pest control protocols. Moreover, this role demands hands-on leadership in resolving plant sanitation issues and responses to adverse events, working with engineering to plan capital expenses related to sanitation equipment and infrastructure, and compiling reports to update senior leadership on sanitation status and compliance levels.   • Bachelor’s degree in food science microbiology environmental health or related field
  • Minimum 3 years experience in sanitation or food safety in food manufacturing
  • Knowledge of food safety regulatory requirements including FSMA and cGMPs
  • Ability to perform sanitation audits and write validation protocols
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to multiple manufacturing sites as needed
