As a Safety Manager within NCW, your primary responsibility is to cultivate a robust safety culture throughout construction sites by leveraging a multifaceted approach. This includes increasing field presence, conducting detailed audits, engaging in proactive pre-construction planning, and building strong relationships at all organizational levels. The role requires consistently delivering clear and effective safety messages to employees and subcontractors alike, ensuring unwavering compliance with contractual safety specifications as well as federal, state, and local regulatory codes. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $160,000 per year, reflecting the critical nature of maintaining safety standards in construction environments. In this role, the Site Safety Manager will engage in activities that thoroughly scrutinize safety protocols and site conditions before and during the construction process. Reviewing development drawings to preemptively identify potential safety concerns allows for safe design adaptations early on. Communication is a key component, with a need to coordinate closely with Regional Safety Directors, Construction Safety Managers, and Project Managers to address and rectify deficiencies. Weekly supervisor audit reviews help ensure consistent monitoring, while bi-weekly reporting provides insights and recommendations for best practices and corrective actions. The Site Safety Manager also plays a strategic role in promoting awareness and fostering accountability by coordinating with job site supervisors and overseeing the documentation and resolution of safety issues. This position demands a high degree of professionalism, meticulous attention to detail, and an ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, are essential for efficient communication and reporting. • 5+ years of documented experience with federal safety regulation in the construction field, including accident investigation experience
