Currently, SSP America is hiring Servers for its restaurants located inside the Milwaukee Airport. This role is essential in ensuring that guests receive outstanding service, making their dining experience as enjoyable and effortless as possible while they are traveling. Serving at an airport facility involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills are critical. As a Server, you will be the face of the restaurant, interacting directly with customers to answer their questions, offer menu suggestions, and take orders accurately.
The compensation for this position starts at $4 per hour plus tips with earning potential up to $25 or more per hour on average, reflecting the lucrative nature of the role in a busy airport setting. In this role, Servers will be responsible for a variety of tasks including taking orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system, preparing and presenting food items, and ensuring that guests’ needs are anticipated and met efficiently. The Server will also be responsible for balancing and reconciling bills, clearing and resetting tables promptly, and maintaining a clean service area. Experience in retail or food service is preferred, and a high school diploma is considered advantageous. Effective verbal and written communication skills and basic math skills for handling payments are essential.
Additionally, candidates must possess a food handlers permit as required by law and may need brand certification depending on the outlet's specific guidelines. The role requires standing for long periods and the ability to work effectively in confined spaces, ensuring high standards of hospitality and customer service are consistently met.
