The role of Restaurant Manager at Rattler's Bar B Que is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant while maintaining an unparalleled guest experience. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Restaurant Manager is responsible for partnering closely with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Executive Kitchen Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, including planning, organizing, and managing teams. This is a non-exempt position with a competitive compensation range of $24.00 to $26.00 per hour. The Restaurant Manager serves as a leader through service, embodying the company's mission, vision, values, and promise of being "Happy to Serve." Key responsibilities include leading the team by example, supporting and empowering employees, and ensuring that every shift maintains a strong focus on both team and guest satisfaction. The Restaurant Manager is expected to engage with guests personally, building relationships and ensuring every dining experience surpasses expectations. This role requires effective communication and coordination with kitchen managers, catering offices, and restaurant support teams to ensure quality, safety, and operational goals are met. Core duties involve managing the safety and cleanliness of the restaurant, upholding health department and sanitation standards, overseeing food preparation and portioning standards, and supporting sales and financial objectives such as food cost and labor cost management. The Restaurant Manager is deeply involved in coaching and developing individual team members and managers through training, mentoring, and leading by example. They play a pivotal role in maintaining the cultural pulse of the restaurant and championing the company's values. Attendance and active participation in scheduled team meetings, along with assisting in schedule preparation and conducting weekly managerial meetings, are also part of the role. Leadership and culture are central to this position, with an emphasis on humble service, teamwork, and employee engagement. The Restaurant Manager acts as both a role model and a trusted partner, fostering a positive culture and supporting the attraction and retention of talent in collaboration with the Human Resources department. They are expected to operate independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities. Fast casual restaurant and catering experience are preferred but not mandatory, and a minimum of one year in a high-volume role is required.
