The role we are hiring for is a Management-level position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary department, specifically focused on overseeing the specialty restaurant kitchen operations at Sheraton Dallas Hotel. This full-time role offers an annual salary range between $65,000 and $86,000, with eligibility for bonuses based on performance and results. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring the quality, consistency, and efficiency of food production within the specialty restaurant kitchen. This includes leading the kitchen team by example, personally engaging in culinary tasks, and managing all food-related functions such as menu coordination, purchasing, staffing, and food preparation.
Key responsibilities include setting and enforcing culinary standards while fostering a work environment dedicated to guest satisfaction and employee development. The candidate will work collaboratively with the team to enhance both guest and staff experiences while maintaining strict adherence to operating budgets. Sanitation practices and food safety regulations must be rigorously observed to meet or exceed compliance standards. Additionally, the role demands leadership skills capable of building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members, encouraging cross-training, and ensuring productivity levels remain high.
A critical aspect of this position is the development and training of the kitchen team to improve operational outcomes. The candidate will help design and introduce innovative menu items, ensure optimal food presentation, and manage food quantities and plating requirements effectively. They will also be responsible for addressing customer feedback promptly and managing guest complaints to maintain the highest level of customer service.
This position demands seasoned culinary expertise with a minimum of four years of experience in the culinary or equivalent food and beverage industry, or a relevant two-year degree with a lesser amount of directly related experience.                 - High school diploma or GED
 - Minimum 4 years of culinary or related experience OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts or similar with minimum 2 years experience
 - Strong interpersonal and communication skills
